AML Analyst
*part-time internship will be considered*

Ravenscroft & Schmierer, founded in 1985, is one of the oldest independent corporate law firms in Hong Kong with a focus on international clients. Our lawyers are qualified in multiple jurisdictions and most of our clients are large and medium-sized companies with an international background.

We have a small, close-knit compliance team that provides support across AML matters. We are looking to add to our compliance team by hiring an AML Intern.

AML Intern
This is an opportunity for an ambitious, hands-on and motivated candidate with an investigative mindset. Candidates should have experience of, or the desire and ability to learn, AML compliance. Further, candidates are expected to handle their tasks independently under supervision.
Although this is a Hong Kong role, the nature of how the firm operates means that international work is the norm. An international and collaborative mindset is imperative.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have AML experience gained from either law firms, financial services or other professional firms. Whilst a qualification or training within the AML field would be preferred, it is not required.
This role will work closely with the Compliance Officer to handle the full spectrum of work in relation to AML and client due diligence. The Analyst will be required to coordinate and facilitate the AML checking process, provide reviews and reports, maintain internal records and assist with on-going client support:
Responsibilities
-
Conducting AML and CDD checks.
-
Performing risk assessments.
-
Ensuring AML regulations are kept up-to-date within the firm.
-
Assisting with internal training.
-
Undertaking additional AML checks when required.
-
Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
-
Handle tasks independently.
Qualifications, Experience and Expectations
-
Experience of or the desire and ability to learn AML compliance.
-
Good organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
-
Good knowledge of MS Office, SharePoint, OneDrive.
-
Good communication skills.
-
Fluency in written and spoken English.
-
Chinese, or other languages, would be a plus.
This list of duties and responsibilities above is not exhaustive. It is intended to describe the general content of, and requirements for, the performance of this job. As such, the role may also include the undertaking of additional tasks as required.

What's on Offer
This is a great opportunity to gain in-depth exposure to the AML process and procedures within a leading law firm.
