German-Speaking Internship in Hong Kong

Location: Hong Kong SAR
Duration: Full-time or part-time for at least 4–6 consecutive weeks (1–1.5 months), or longer

Languages: Native-level German required; fluent English required

About the Internship

Ravenscroft & Schmierer, a Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2025 & 2026 top-ranked international law firm, offers a hands-on internship for native German speakers seeking exposure to legal research, writing, and multilingual communication. Interns will work closely with our team, contributing to research tasks, translations, drafting, marketing, administrative support and assisting with cases involving cross-border matters of German‑ and English-speaking clients and colleagues.

This internship provides real experience inside a modern, multinational Hong Kong law firm, offering insights into international workflows and the day-to-day operations of our legal and administrative teams.

Who Should Apply

Please only apply if you:

  • are a native-level German speaker;

  • are available full-time for at least 4–6 consecutive weeks (longer preferred);

  • are fluent in German and English.

Key Responsibilities

You will support the firm by assisting with:

  • conducting legal research and writing;

  • assisting with AML (anti–money laundering) checks where required;

  • drafting and reviewing emails and documents in German and English;

  • translating documents between German and English;

  • meeting deadlines and handling tasks independently;

  • liaising with internal teams and coordinating documentation as needed.

 

This role requires professionalism, accuracy, confidentiality, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Candidate Profile

Successful applicants will demonstrate:

  • Native-level German and fluent English proficiency;

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy;

  • High level of confidentiality and discretion;

  • A proactive, responsible, and "can‑do" attitude;

  • Ability to work independently and within a team;

  • Good organisational and time‑management skills;

  • Familiarity with MS Office, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

 

Chinese language skills are a plus, but not required.
