Gap Year Internship in Hong Kong
Location: Hong Kong SAR
Work Arrangement: On-site
Duration: Minimum 1 month (longer preferred)
Chinese language skills: Not required (advantageous but optional)

About the Internship
At Ravenscroft & Schmierer, we believe it takes more than lawyers to run a successful law firm. Alongside our legal internships, we offer a range of non-legal voluntary internships suitable for students taking a gap year at various stages of their academic journey.

Whether you have just finished secondary school and want real-world workplace experience before starting your next studies in Hong Kong or abroad, or you are taking a break between academic milestones, we welcome your application.

This programme provides the opportunity for young people to gain authentic exposure to corporate, administrative, operational, and creative work inside an international law firm.
All internships are unfunded and unassessed.
Who Should Apply
Please only apply if you:

are taking a gap year or academic break

can commit to at least 1 month, or longer

already have the right to work in Hong Kong, or can obtain it independently

are comfortable with a voluntary (unpaid) internship

are motivated, responsible, and eager to learn in a professional environment
This opportunity is ideal for secondary school graduates, pre-university students, or young adults between study periods.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities vary by department but may include:

supporting internal workflows and operations

assisting with filing, data entry, and organisational tasks
Marketing & Creative Tasks

preparing social media posts

assisting with video content, design materials, or editorial drafts

helping monitor trends and engagement metrics
HR & Recruitment Tasks

screening applications

preparing interview schedules
-
assisting with communication and coordination
Business & Notary Support

assisting with basic tasks under supervision

helping prepare documents, forms, or checklists
-
learning how professional services operate day‑to‑day
Assignments depend on your experience, interests, and capacity.
