Legal Internship in Hong Kong
Location: Hong Kong SAR
Work Arrangement: On-site
Duration: Minimum 8 consecutive weeks (longer preferred)
Chinese language skills: Not required (advantageous but optional)
Applicants without the right to work in Hong Kong/Mainland China, or without residential connections or immediate travel plans to the region, will not be shortlisted.
About the Internship

offers a practical and hands‑on Legal Internship designed to expose students to real casework, legal research, drafting, and cross‑border matters.
Legal Interns at our firm play a meaningful supporting role, often assisting our associates (including Kelly Leung) with ongoing client matters. You may help review and prepare legal documents, conduct background research, organise case files, assist with client due diligence, and support compliance procedures.
This internship is ideal for law students or recent graduates who want exposure to real‑world legal practice in an international, fast‑paced environment.
Who Should Apply

are a local full‑time student or a recent law graduate

are interested in litigation, corporate/commercial law, international legal work, or legal research
Suitable for LLB, JD, PCLL‑track and other legal backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
You will support our associates and legal teams by assisting with:
Casework & Legal Support
-
preparing and reviewing legal documents
-
conducting background and factual research
-
organising and maintaining case files
-
assisting with client due diligence and compliance procedures
Research & Drafting
-
conducting legal research (case law, statutes, regulations, international matters)
-
drafting memos, summaries, or basic legal documents under supervision
-
assisting with bundling and document preparation for hearings or client matters
Internal & Content Work
-
participating in legal content production where appropriate
-
supporting the team with administrative and case‑related tasks
All tasks are assigned according to your skill level, legal training, and demonstrated capability.
Candidate Profile
Successful applicants will demonstrate:

Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Excellent legal research, analytical and drafting abilities
-
Attention to detail and accuracy

Professionalism, confidentiality and strong ethical standards

Good mastery of MS Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Teams

Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure

A positive, respectful, and proactive mindset

Ability to work independently, under supervision
Knowledge of Chinese is not required but considered an asset.
